Why does Portland Textile Month exist?
The goal of Textile Month is to bring together the Portland textile community for a month long series of learning, sharing, events/celebrations, and cross pollination among enthusiasts, artists, businesses and institutions. We provide an open platform to engage and share ideas, history, knowledge, experiences, practices across cultures, viewpoints and generations. We draw our inspiration for Portland Textile Month from Textile Month in New York City and Design Week Portland.
What is it? 
A series of open houses and events self hosted and open to anyone. Self organized and minimally produced to keep things simple.
Who can participate?
Anyone, Portland Textile Month is a volunteer lead organization join us and help put on next year’s textile celebration.
