Ghost Net Landscape Exhibit

October 7-October 31

Join artist Emily Miller in this interactive installation transforming marine debris into artwork!

Ghost Net Landscape presents 1,000+ pounds of “ghost net” fishing rope debris in a gallery setting. Artist Emily Miller will be present in the gallery throughout the exhibit, transforming the material into baskets on her sewing machine. Come untangle and unwind fishing rope, take home materials, and explore a new material to make art!

Ghost net is one of the most abundant and dangerous sources of marine debris in our oceans. What happens to the material after it is removed from the ocean is still a work in progress. Ghost Net Landscape seeks to discover how much artwork can be created from the mass when we work together.

This event is open Monday-Friday 1-5pm from October 7-31 plus Oct 19-20 from 11am-5pm.
Opening Reception is October 7th from 4-6pm
Closing Reception is October 29th from 4-6pm
